News story

A.On April the 23, William Ferria and James Wilde achieved getting an A on there rocket project. "Oh my god James, we got and A!!!!!!!!!!" Said William when they achieved getting the rocket to stay in the air for over 9 seconds. They were bound to get an A because they have been working their tails off the make there rocket, parachute etc.

B. Bottle- the bottle is what carries the fuel

Fins- the fins are what stabilize the bottle so it points up

Nose cone- the nose cone makes the rocket more aerodynamic/ reducing  drag. It also an egg carrier

Parachute- the parachute is what hold the egg so it can float down nice and slow without breaking the egg

String- the sting connects the parachute to the egg carrier

Egg carrier- the egg carrier holds the egg so when it gets shot up it won't fly out and it helps protect it when landing

Physical Geography Paragraph

Japan, China, and India all have geographic resources and obstacles that have shaped their cultures. Japan has many mountains and natural disasters. The mountains limit Japan to where the live and how they have to farm. With just little space make a living makes it hard on families and company's. Also Japan has a lot of natural disasters such as earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, and typhoons. With those disasters it makes it hard to regain everything when something bad strikes. China's rivers and mountains really help China out. The rivers that China has are Huang He, Chang, and Xi which help grow crops because they provide irrigation and fertile land for the crops. China's Mountains have helped them many years with dividing them with other countries which makes it harder to get invaded by other people. India has great rivers, mountains/ocean. India's rivers really help out India because they provide them with very rich farmland. Also India's mountains/ocean are surrounding most of India which help them so they can focus on the places without the mountains because they know that they aren't going to try to invade by crossing over the mountains. Those are someways that Japan, China, and India have been have been shaped either by resources or obstacles that they have had to over come.

Debate Reflection

Debate Reflection

My debate assignment was to refute the statement, "I do not agree with all the second guessing to end WWII. Japan began the war with a brutal attack on Pearl Harbor and Harry Truman chose to end the war as quickly as possible. While the deaths of Japanese civilians were unfortunate, Truman had a moral obligation to save American lives first." The dropping of the atomic bomb should not have happened. I was assigned to support the Japanese's side. My group's main points were that the Japanese would have surrendered soon without the U.S. subjecting to such drastic, unnecessary methods. This war was going to end in about 6 months but instead the U.S dropped the bomb which kept on killing people for over 2 years. What would you have done ended the war in a split second, that kept killing people over 2 years, or end the madness in 6 months.
I contributed to prepare for the debate by researching on the specific facts of topics and how it affected people later on. I contributed to the debate by giving ideas to people because I am not that strong talking in front of people. When they were puzzled on a question the other team asked i would help them on what the other team meant. Our debate started off not the strongest. We didn't look over our opening statement enough and the other team had a really strong opening statement. Over the time in the debate we started to talk more of what we though and said true facts. I think our team presented our topic very strong.
In this project i learned that there where other ways for the war to be ended instead of the U.S bombing Japan. The U.S could not have dropped the bomb and just have waited half a year to end the war. They were even killing people 2 years after the bomb was dropped. There is still radiation floating around, going through generations of people. I improved my improve skills a lot by thinking of good facts of the top of head that are related to the topic. Also this helped me with preparation  because if you want your side to win you have to have real, good, facts. If you try to go out with nothing you are bound to lose.

Rocket Reflection

During my rocket project I have made astonishing leaps in this project.  I have made an excellent egg carrier that has allowed the egg to live. My partner and I have constructed an amazing rocket and parachute that works. We are both committed to work really hard and meet the goals we have. We have launched a successful egg in our rocket. I believe that my partner and I will have a A+ by the end of this project.
